Picturing the apostle Paul (and criticising his passage planning), who on one of his voyages up the Anatolian coast (between 57 CE and 66 CE), is supposed to have pitched camp here for the night, to rest his oarsmen from the back-breaking drudgery against (!) the strong meltemi.
